I'm on tricky part of my book. The main character is realizing that she has a horrible boyfriend. How do I show that via flash back. Any advice?

Hey! My MC also has a horrible boyfriend so I have some experience in this lol. You could have her flashback to some moments where she didn't realize he was being horrible, or someone maybe dropping hints to her about it. I suggest multiple little flashbacks or one big one that represents the first time she got the hint but didn't take it or something like that. Overall, its about doing what you want to do and remember, you can always change it later!! :)
Assuming that you have moments of him being horrible, go back to those. Pull in things he had said or actions. I don’t know if that is obvious but that’s all I can think of lol. Good luck!
Thanks for your ideas! They are very helpful! :)
yeah I agree with bumblebea & twoblueviolets, try having your MC kind of montage through some moments where he was being either obviously horrible (audience anger at a good read moment!) or more subtly bad (realization). hope your writing goes well!
