This is a text message thread shared between 2 of my characters:
“Be back soon i think. Micheal ran away.” Her response was,
“OMG. I hope u find him. Should I call the police?” He quickly texted back,
“No, its not that serious” and then, “Lets organize a search party”
I made the grammar and spelling bad here on purpose, but should I change it? It's in a text, so maybe not.

yeah I think because your characters seem hurried and scared they wouldn't worry about spelling but you do what you think

Yep, I think the bad grammar is acceptable in texts because honestly, do you ever text with perfect grammar? At first I tried to but it's a LOT of going back and changing stuff. I think the grammar's fine!
