Tiny Writes
Hi guys, what topics bring out the most feeling for you when writing? I find myself getting caught up in modified versions of my own life that make me want to write, but I often spiral from there. I'm curious, what themes make you compelled to write?

I have a collection of about 40 poems that all tackle growing up in some capacity. I’ve been adding to that for a few years at this point, so I’d say that’s my favorite.
The idea that most commonly comes out in my writing is getting old. I feel the constant need to justify and understand the passage of time, and I often find myself grieving past moments, even if on the surface, nothing has changed on the surface.
Recently I've been in a really bad writer's block, but things that I don't know much about or are important to me are often common themes in my poetry.
I like to write about the dark side of society, like the things that nobody talks about, but are always there. And I also love to write about random things that come to mind, like if a song is stuck in my head, I'll write about what it makes me think of.
I have a document where I write ideas for poems, and they come from literally everything in my life, whether it's a painting I saw a picture of or a news bulletin or a flower. One of my favorite ways to write is just ranting about my day until it becomes a poem!
