I just wrote a Opinion essay on YouTube Shorts. I think it would be cool if you guys read it and gave me your thoughts? I'd like to hear what you have to say on the matter.

I enjoyed your essay. I don't have much firsthand experience with youtube shorts, but I think it's crazy how much more time my younger siblings spend watching Netflix than I did, even though they're only a few years younger. It's scary to me how accessible fast-entertainment is becoming.
I have to agree with you. My sibling is on her I-pad way to much watching Netflix and other stuff. I (on a week day) tend to spend between 2-3 hours on the TV or my desktop, while my sibling has about 10 hours! Her weekend times make my times look small. If I'm bingeing a show (10-12 hours) I get off after I finish mean while my sibling tends to spend 20 hours a day on her I-pad. It is crazy! Makes me feel old.
Honestly same. My computer can't install YouTube for some reason so most of the time I spend on here is writing or scrolling through webcomics on Pinterest. My little brother whines like crazy when he's told to come off the TV at 8 am (time for school) after he's been literally watching Netflix for two hours! And the boys in my class went crazy and acted like they were being punished when our teacher told them to get off their computers. Screens are going to be our downfall, mark my words.
School is the worst for this. Mine began a no cell phone policy that no one follows and it's so strange to me. Like can yall not get off your phones for eight hours? And they'll be playing video games and things on their computers. Last year a SIXTH GRADER got caught watching p**n... in class! I definitely have my fair share of screen-time but it's wild
