I think that this drawing conveys a mood that may be more somber than our generation is now, but also shows a mood that we have experienced and a time and place we have been that I think defines us more than we may all see. I can see effects of the pandemic often in our life, even if it’s not as clear as it is in this drawing.

They said to think about who you are
And who you want to be
After camp
And I thought
What if I don’t know
The changes I want to happen to me?
What if change
Is best
Faced like the wind
I hope that our legacy is our effort to love, that it is the times we held umbrellas above other peoples heads and shared whatever food we had and pointed out the stars.
We didn't know the guy
in the truck
who's that guy?
my sister asked,
and I wondered if city people
expected to know everyone
they saw around town.
