solar-soft night because i stayed up whispering non-existent melodies to the dreaming clouds,
pierced the veil of daybreak with needle-sharp notes-
can't label minor chords, but indigo-tinged whispers filtering through my ears swallowed these auditory taste-buds
until i drowned in the music
with no words.
closed my eyes to stay a bit longer,
just to hear the echoing sounds of wind and sky and grass touch my
amygdala,
these things i drank in during the phases of the moon
washed over me, ocean-deep, salt foam bubbling into my eyes
blinded me with its cool warmth, until all i could see
were crescents hanging like mercury droplets
in the pure darkness of the day-
blood coursed through my veins like sweet
humanity.
i don't want to
leave.
