All Humans are Created Equal

We stood up to a tyrant once.

And now it’s time to again.

We need to stand up for the rights we were supposed to get so long ago.

“All men are created equal.”

I know it means all humans, but it feels like it just means men sometimes.

I want it to say:

All humans are created equal.

And I want the president to follow through with that promise.

I want equality for everyone.

Men, women, gender-non conforming.

White people, black people, indigenous, and all others.

Everyone.

Not just the people the president says are important.

Everyone.

Because all humans are created equal.

All humans.

  • Freedom

Freedom is a concept I think about often.

    A concept I don't really understand.

    Yes, we have it.

But it often feels like we don't.

How am I supposed to see how free I truly am, when I just feel trapped?

  • Experiences

    Experiences.

They're a gift all on their own.

Spending time with friends, laughing and talking about stuff that doesn't even really matter to anyone but us.

Immersing myself in a world of roleplay, where I'm whoever I want.

  • Dopamine

Because of these things called phones, those of us born in the digital world have far too large receptors for dopamine.

    Miniature computers, larger dopamine receptors.

Harder to get content and joy.
