She felt her cold hand wrap around the cold phone
She dialed those numbers as fast as she could with a dying heart
Soon she heard the voice on the other side
That was not the only voice that she heard
The voices of the friends who came at night
Speaking in riddles
The only word she could get out to the operator was “Hurry”
As the phone slipped crashing down
As her head smashed onto the floor
Darkness swarmed her mind
The next time the light came in she was laying in a bed that was not of her own
She said to the man in the white jacket
“Where is my father?”
The man replied “He has been dead for 30 years”
