Oh, how beautiful is the horizon,
Such a golden place to lie in.
Sometimes I rest my eyes,
Bringing back old memories of blue skies and warm pies.
How could I have known that this would not last?
Dreams never last when this world moves so fast.
My brightest days have gone to dark.
Why is this world falling apart?
The wind whistles a tune I remember,
colorless memories of hazy nights and warm Summers.
Then it’s gone, color dissipates to shades of gray and haze.
Dreams set ablaze, I miss the heavenly days.
Memories gone vast,
Nothing gold can last.
