The best part about summer is the Fourth of July

Hanging out with your friends at a tractor parade

The best part about summer is looking forward

To the new year and new dreams that are soon to come

The best part about summer is binging TV shows

And sleepover camp roasting marshmallows

The best part about summer making bracelets

And trying out new beads and new types of patterns

The best part about summer is bikinis and shorts

Walking to the beach from a cute rental home

The best part about summer is long days and short nights

And sleeping in 'till it's almost lunch time

The best part about summer is the adventures that lead

And the joy that can be found in all the small things
