Coffee

I take my coffee sweet,

It's less bitter on my taste,

It takes a little honey,

And a dash of milk to make.

I write hearts atop my lunches,

With notes to open up,

So that when I'm feeling hungry,

I have left a little love.

I say thank you to my neighbor,

That smiles every day,

So when it's time to come home later,

I know that she's ok.

It's these little morning sugars,

That add up against the pain,

And when I sleep at night,

It begins next day again

It's my coffee in the morning,

The foam along my tongue,

And you'll never truly know it's there,

Until the days begun.

  • War

Every story I've ever been told has held a spot in my life,

The goodest of hero's and foulest of foes did share with me the night.

  • Five of Me

I feel sometimes I'm split in two,

Of all the things I have to do,

I must answer call from call,

And write you when you feel small,

She wished that space would talk to her,

    And whispered to the moon,

About the days that haunted her,

And those that would come soon.

    She wanted to apologize,

    For wishing on the stars,
