Her bright dyed hair danced with the sun’s ray
it flowed like a tree being cut into timber as she past
I wanted to say how beautiful she
was but the words would not jump from my vast mouth
The bay was all fuzz as I looked above
I begged to be saved from earth's submerged floor
This will not be the last time I test these chains
Pushing against the pain to go fly with the flock
I was like a mime, trapped in a open box
If only I unlocked the weights holding down my wings
Then maybe I could fly along the wind
Over the drowning tide where I use to hide
If only I would let go from the haunting past
Soon I will die looking at the sugar laced sky
I could taste the world as I drown in the moon-faced disgrace
