Diverging Strings

Blissful children.

Young,

Naïve.

Dreaming, of who we wake up to be

Dancing with starlight in our hands

Elemelons to the end

But wishes cannot last for long

That fire cannot still burn strong

We were torn apart by future strings

Ripped from our prayer for eternity.

She had to leave, to a far away place

Where the deer still prance,

But the friends are re-placed

Away from each other.

Parted for long.

I stayed with one, but the other was gone.

And then there were two, alone, but not lost.

For the other was there, still to hold.

Still to love, still to see.

Still to jump, still to weep.

Hand in hand,

A different place,

While paths diverge,

We shared a starting place.
