Episodes

A young-minded puppy that is full-grown
Bumping into the coffee tables
Knocking off picture frames and wine bottles
Unknowing of the damage
Until she steps on the glass
And the blood leaks from her paws
And stains the hardwood a lovely ruby
The spoltches like Rorschach
  Taking shape into erratic squiggles
“Doctor I feel like I can move mountains”
   “Doctor I feel great, I’m a god”
“Doctor the floor is like my craving for love-
Every step I take my body
          Curls into roses and rainbows!”
And pleasure takes every form:
My closet now full and my bank account now empty
My smile full and bright and my eyes hollow and dull
My heart eating all of this crap it can’t digest
           Feeling void and hungry
           In attempts to fill this bucket with h o l e s
I pour all my energy thinking
It will be thick enough to hold
Yet it seeps out on the floor
       Transforming into dog treats
    And again the dog chases
  And the dog eats
And everything repeats
