Expectations

As a teenager I am expected to conform.

Even though people tell you that you should be distant “stand out from the crowd” the second you do they tell you “what are you doing?”

Why do people put all of these expectations on us about the current state of the world an our own country?

They think that we can just stand by and not talk about it bring attention to what is happening.

But we do care.

I’m telling you now world we care.

And we will not just stand around thinking sweet thoughts waiting for the storm to blow over.

We will go to protests.

We will stand up for what we believe in.

And we will not be silenced.

Ever.

We are a burning flame and we just bust into the world. There is wood and trees nearby so you’d better believe that right now we are about to burst out into a forest fire of protests and we will not stop until you listen.

This is a call to action for all of us that think that you might not have a voice in this. Let me tell you right now.

You do.

We all do and of all do our part

They will have to listen to us.

  • Anxiety

When I go to school on occasion I worry that I will be treated differently because of my hearing.

something completely out of my control.

I fear that a teacher could pick me out of the class because of my differences.

  • Nature's Beauty

    Redwoods standing tall and strong.

    sycamores with mushroom-like foliage.

Maple with their sap soon to be syrup.

Willows weeping in the new dawn light.

Cardinals singing on the branches of a oak tree

  • Silently judged

    Every day

I feel like I am constantly being watched.

    Judged

    And looked down upon.

I know that this might not be true

But I feel the same regardless.

    Because that is human nature.
