Eyes glowing in the dark 

Too far to see what it is

Close enough to see the eyes glowing in the dark

We fear what we can't see

But we fear what we could see even more 

We seek to know what lives in the dark

But regret when we go too far

We are creatures so curious 

That we lurk in the dark

Ignoring the will of the trees

Ignoring the whispers of the wind

Ignoring the screaming their soul is doing 

 We long to know everything 

But knowledge is poison

It's fine in small dosages

But when you learn too much 

The world silences you
