I wake up, where am I? The last thing I can remember is closing my eyes to go to sleep, and now I seem to be in some sort of clearing. My breathing intensifies making me dizzy as I try to find some logic to the situation I’m in.
I looked around me as I stepped out of the forest. I sighed as I continued walking to the center of the field that surrounded me. When I got to the middle of it I sat down. It appeared to but then I heard a noise coming from behind me.
Clearing. It’s a clearing! My eyes watered from the salty sweat that was dripping down my face. I was so hot and tired. I held the large palm leaf above my head, slightly protecting myself from the sun.
I had said my goodbyes and set out on my best adventure. I was pretty tired after last nights fare well party that my friends had put together but a coffee fixed that right away.
The lush plants surrounding you reach their flourishing branches and stalks into the sky, which, although blocked by the thick knot of tree branches, still shines through the leaves, casting the verdant forest floor with a pleasant green light.
It was a mid November afternoon. The days were getting shorter, and colder. Becca and her friend Sam decided to take their dogs for a walk on a trail they had never seen before.
Every time I walk by that house the air gets colder. It’s like time stops around that house. There is never a squirrel in the yard. The birds even fly around the house. When I walk to school I have to walk by that house.
