The glass
It shuts me in
I find myself dazing
Out of it
Looking at the hills,
The clouds,
And that fresh air
I can almost taste
From where I'm sitting
Then I hear my name
And come back to reality
Except I can’t resist
Thinking about how
I wish I were
Those birds
That aren't trapped
In by glass
But are free
As soon as that bell rings
I get to walk home
And the glass can’t
Hold me back
It shuts me in
I find myself dazing
Out of it
Looking at the hills,
The clouds,
And that fresh air
I can almost taste
From where I'm sitting
Then I hear my name
And come back to reality
Except I can’t resist
Thinking about how
I wish I were
Those birds
That aren't trapped
In by glass
But are free
As soon as that bell rings
I get to walk home
And the glass can’t
Hold me back
