glimmers on the edge of the flag

behind our tired eyes

we see glimmers of hope

sparkle around the edges

of the red white and blue flag

the stars

are a message of peace yet to come

and as signs are printed

and people step out onto the streets

the sunlight glimmering through the trees gets a little brighter

especially now

that mayors will walk in pride parades

and LGBTQPIA+ activists

are now in office

i think we have a better chance

because maybe to most people

we don't need a new ballroom

for the sake of everything good in the world

can we please just make change instead?

 oh look

on the streets

this is finished now

i shall go join them.

  • Love poem #1

When I am trying to fall asleep

You are all I think about

Aside from the lights flickering and the washing machine humming

Nothing can take my mind off of thoughts of

    Secret kisses and

    Falling asleep on your chest

  • Icarus

    Holy sun

    Engulf me

    Charm me

Along with the wings of those who burned before mine

    Burnt feathers

    And curiosity

Always smell of a man who wanted

    More.

  • it's confusing.

    sometimes it doesn't make sense

did these women pay attention to the fact that they were non consensually kissed

or did no one else in the kingdom have the same shoe size as cinderella?
