swans and dogs and beautiful poetry

I personally love

Mary Oliver's

Dog Songs

the way she captivates 

the little dog

in poems 

in books

and in heart

the way the poetry flows

like the way a dog runs through snow

reminds me of the days 

at my grandparent's house

when my little dog

ran through the snow

now she runs through clouds

or my uncle's

big brown 

slobbery sweetheart

she would long to ski with us

and yet when we let her out

she became cold

now she gets to ski whenever she wants in perfect weather

the sun up in the clouds is 

beautiful

and warm

or her book 

Swan

prose isn't appreciated enough.
