Golden Illusion

Fell in love with a golden illusion.

World veiled in a bronze light,

Everything felt right.

The warmth of sun kissing skin,

The reassurance of night,

The ease brought by a breeze.

This enchanting illusion soon shattered,

With the cold seeping into the night,

Changing as if nothing else mattered.

The land afire from afar,

With only the sun's quick descent

To bring along the calm,

Hiding this gentle reminder:

Nothing ever lasts forever.

    the mountains and hills,
