grasp of loss

You grasped my hand and held it tight

Telling me you would never hurt me

Soon I wish I knew your grip was as cold as fire

you let go but a piece of you still hung around

Like a trendel of a old sweater that cried in the closet

I never wanted the imprint from your hand to slip from mine

After you left I did not cry

I felt a large sense of relief skim my open soul

The way you talked to the concealed winter sky nicer than you talked to me

Why would I mind if your hand glided off mine

After those weeks you eggresed my life I should've calmed the fire that you invoke inside me
