Hello Fall

Hello Fall,

I see you outside my window,

I pass you every day on our road.

Do you know what secret life holds?

Hello Fall,

What happens when it starts to snow?

I know your leaves will all be gone,

And I know I will move on.

But Fall,

I hope that the season doesn't change,

I don't really want to see you go.

Can't your leaves just continue to grow?

I see you Fall,

Rounding that corner again.

I thought you had promised me

That you would never, ever leave.

Hello Fall,

Where did you go from my window?

Where were you on our road when I passed by?

Fall, please, I don't want to say goodbye.

    there's a jar on my nightstand;

it used to be my grandmother's

Clothes like a straight-jacket around my limbs,

My thoughts locked in the prison of my brain.

Outside it is snowing—a cotton cover,
