Hello Winter

Hello Winter,

I see you through the light

peaking through my curtains.

Your white blankets every living thing.

But Winter,

When will you comfort me,

Wrap me up like a present,

When will that come, Winter?

I see you Winter,

You're already shedding your tears

From the skies above.

Don't let me join you too.

Hello Winter,

Your cold breezes bring me down,

Drag me through your mud and snow

Until I'm drowning in you.

Hello Winter,

You're making picturesque scenes all around,

Your blanket, tempting me to jump in,

Winter, please, don't come so soon again.

Outside it is snowing—a cotton cover,
