I'm doing a free write for class and I like how it's turning out. Not going to be super long, though.

Blair was tucking her knees to her chest, and biting her lip. Her mom had said she needed to stop doing that. If she kept doing it, everyone would know she was worried.
She frantically checked her watch again. Elyse, Holly, and Ren were supposed to be here five minutes ago. It was the first day of homeschool and they were already late…
Twirling her hair on her fingertips, Blair got up and started pacing by the front door. She nearly fell over when the doorbell rang suddenly, and was still a little shaky when she opened the door.
“Hey Blair!” said Ren excitedly, dashing through the door before Blair could even let her in. She threw her coat on the hanger and began unpacking her duffel. She shook out her fiery red hair, which was wet from the rain. Blair smirked as she looked at Ren’s resemblance to Ginny Weasley.
“Honestly, Ren. Show some manners,” said Elyse, but she was smiling. She came in with a little sway, showing that she had some manners. She carefully placed her raincoat on the rack and went to help Ren unpack.
Holly was last. She walked in timidly, but still took everything in. Her eyes darted every which way, taking in Blair’s household. At last she sat down, placing her bag beside her.
Blair, Holly, Ren, and Elyse were all sophomores in highschool. Due to the spread of COVID-19, though, their school had been shut down. Their parents had agreed to let them all homeschool together, because they knew if they didn’t they would start finding other ways to see each other.
The four girls had met in second grade and had been together since then. Ren was shortest, and everyone at school thought she was still a freshman. With fiery orange hair and just as fiery of an attitude, she wasn’t really afraid of much. Holly was the opposite. With dark, almost black hair that she hid behind, she was the typical shy girl. Blair was again different. With white-blonde hair and almost no defining features, she would always worry about everything. And after… well, we’ll get to that later. Elyse was the girl who always stuck up for people, but also managed to do it with style. Her light brown hair was always in a stylish ponytail, and she could turn anything into a trendy outfit. She was the only freshman that went to prom last year, being asked out by a junior.
“Ok, guys, so what’s the plan?” asked Blair, as she made her way over to the table. Her dad had already left for work, so they had the house to themselves. Except for her brother, who was leaving to go with his friends soon. Speaking of which…
“What’s up, nerd?” he said as he sauntered into the room. A senior in highschool with caramel brown hair, he was pretty popular. Blair sneered at him.
“Oh, hi Axel,” she said, a tone of poison in her voice. He didn’t notice as he snagged a banana from the counter and leaned on the fridge. “Shouldn’t you be leaving soon?”
“Nah, we decided to have it here. My boys are coming over soon.” He smirked at Blair’s angry expression.
“Well, you’ll have to do it somewhere else. We’re already here.”
Blair glared at him. Well, at least it would be interesting.
