How's life going?

I ask this question to anyone and everyone.

Most people look at me like a have 453,786 heads,

Because who says, How’s life going?

Sometimes,

You just need somebody to ask how you’re doing,

And sometimes,

If you ask in a funny way,

They’ll tell you.

I also say, have a good tomorrow!

Half the time, people don’t notice,

And other times,

They’ll look at me like I’m crazy,

Or they’ll laugh.

And that’s my goal.

I want people to question me,

Or to look at me funny.

Because that means they aren’t ready to let go.

Not just yet.

Because sometimes they meet people like me.

Who say random things,

And

Make random faces,

Just to make their day better.

So, how’s life going?

    I think there is a glitch in my processing unit;

when the letter 'A' enters the system,

it doesn't just register as a character—

it spills out as a deep magenta that dyes the rest of the word.

    Aimee Carty.

    She's my favorite artist.

Her name is a swirl of blue and pink in my mind,

    but her music-

oh, her music is such a beautiful blend of all the colors you can name.
