I Can Just Be Me When I'm With You

When I’m with you, my heart is light.

I don’t feel the need to smile, smile, smile, laugh, laugh, laugh.

I can just be me.

And that feels amazing.

When we’re together, my smiles and laughter are genuine, not forced.

I don’t have to mince my words.

I can just be me.

I don’t worry that you only keep me around out of pity.

I don’t have to force myself to want to know everything you know about stuff I’m clueless about.

I don’t have to pretend to be someone I’m not.

I can just be me.

Yeah, I can just be me when I’m with You.
