I have always been a teacher's pet,
a straight to the point,
a smart answer,
collective applause,
the one to beat,
the first to it.

I have always been a go-getter,
a "how do you do it",
a "please help",
the always asked for help.

I have always been a yes ma'am,
a glad to show my grades,
proud of my work,
without really working.

But this C has me,
it has me clueless,
castaway and courupted,
cheerless and corroded,
it has me in check mate.

'It means more,
its the tough love of knowledge,
the rage of perfection,
a guide to the lost,
an ask for help.

This semester I'm stumped,
having to stamp out my pride,
lower my flag,
feeling endless misery,
as the mistake of my answers.

But why does my soul cry so deeply,
a C is still loveable,
still conscious and charismatic,
a better luck next time,
is more than a perfect score,
its A. B.lessing of C.uriosity,
it's my urge to know more.
