Lost But Not Gone

By Faith Truzansky

Lost but not gone. Hidden out of sight. Never to be seen in real life, only in dreams. Fuzzy dreams that are never clear. I've lost him. Didn't get to say hi or bye. I miss his smile that I have never seen. I miss his laugh that I've never heard. I miss his presence and his big eyes that would have taken in the world. I miss him, the boy I have never met. My brother is gone but not forgotten. He's still with us in the sky or our hearts. He's watching over me making sure I go the right way. Noah, we miss you. We want you back. You were too young and too little. I wish you didn't make our sun set. I'd rather have no sun than have you gone. I wish you were home in your warm cozy bed dreaming big dreams.
