LYAAF

Thank you.
I needed that today.
Whatever that was.
The laugh, the tease, the game, the tea.
I needed all of it.
I really needed you. And you were there.
Don't get me wrong, you never fail to drive me crazy,
And get on every nerve I have on my being,
but you also reside in every part of my heart.
My mind. My soul.
And sure, I'd like to admit I don't need anyone, a gilded individual.
Unyielding, unbreaking, ever strong, always.
But that is so not true.
And when I'm not- on those rare moments of lonely doubt, and panic.
There you be.
With a comment that is so fitting, or so completely random and not fitting
That it fits perfectly.
And I love your for that.
So I thank you.
For laughing at my jokes, or at my laugh, or at me when I try to be funny.
Its done out of love and I love you for that.
And for those games, those phone calls, the picnics and silent smiles.
All the inside jokes that I've now written down in my phone because we have way to many.
The texts I've saved because if I didn't, I wouldn't believe how bizarre they were.
And of course the harmonious horror that comes with random outbursts of songs.
Your a quirky strange bunch.
But your my quirky strange bunch.
And we are together.
And your the people I can always truly count on.
Always.
And so I thank you for that today.
whatever that was. Is.
The fun that comes so easily with your presence.
The comfort that comes so easily with your consciousness.
The love I give you without even trying.
I needed that.
I need that.
I'll always treasure it.
Love You As A Friend.

  • A Space Among The Stars

To live in a space among the stars
    I'd have to get binoculars
To see the dentist on the moon
And find the next Uber at noon.
To live in a space among the stars
I'd have to float to school in cars.
  • Frost

    Its fingers were hot
    and cold and
    sweet and dark.
    All at the same time.

    Sleeeeep.

    It whispered in her ear.
    Her petals shivered.
    Its breath ran slowly
    down
    her stem and
    tickled a leaf.
