As Timothy wakes up, he hears the loud rattle of the Orito Express, the local train system, roar over his house. He gets up “Ugh, what time is it?” He checks his watch, it reads 5:34 A.M., Wednesday 6/23/2042. He climbs out of his bed and gets dressed. He walks out of the door of his dingy apartment and gets on his bike to head to his job. As he rides out of his driveway he looks up to see the rickety tower of houses and trailers and metal scrap that at least 25 families call home. He sees the oldest person in the complex, Mr.Jacob, walk out of his door and walk down the stairs.
“Hello Timothy,” Mr.Jacob says as he walks down the last of the creaking old stairs.
“Hey Mr.J,”
“While your out could you get me some flour from the supermarket, as you know I am old and fragile and-,” As Mr.Jacobs continues to explain why he can't go Tim says,
“Yes Mr.J, I can get you some flour on my way back from work.” As Tim starts to walk across the street a truck comes speeding down the street. The last thing he remembers is the truck honking its horn as it tries to slow down. As Timothy wakes up, he hears the loud rattle of the Orito Express, the local train system, roar over his house, he quickly sits up straight and looks at his watch, it’s 5:34 A.M. Wednesday 6/23/2042.
