a marvelous but terrible city

there is a city
that stays bright even at night
using lamps that do not use oil and torches that do not burn
buildings that pierce the heavens
signs that shine brighter than the stars
this city must have been created by god
just seeing it once fills you with awe and delight
but will also overwhelm you with fear
in this town of god the people are corrupted
on the outside it looks marvelous
but on the inside it's horrifying
trash everywhere men commiting crimes out in the open using weapons made to kill and harm
but there's also good people
people willing to give when they don't have much themselves
just out of the kindness of their hearts
what a marvelous, but terrible place
