Kael on the other hand was glaring at that box of toads, wondering when it’d be opened. Juniper was taking notes— with even better handwriting than Kael. Which was unusual to say the least.
Professor Thorne turned “Kael, can you help me pass out the toads?”
Kael launched up and nodded, then walked over and watched as it was unlocked.
Kael grabbed one for the table of perfect-bloods.
No one else caught it but me.. well I thought nobody had, he tickled the stomach. Then put it on the table, Elias seemed to notice as well, because he shot up and asked if he could help pass them out with his sister.
Thorne nodded and he lifted his sisters arm and rushed to the cage. Kael barely gave them a glance “careful not to ruin your ‘perfect’ hands” he muttered under his breath
Elias nodded “thanks for the heads-up”
Nyx looked back and forth between them “Elias! You’re being mean!” She said
Elias chuckled and grabbed one “Kael, you’re almost out of time to give it to Seraphina”
Kael blinked— “you—want me to..” his voice trailed off in confusion. Then he gave Seraphina the toad, and it started vibrating. Seraphina screamed loudly.
Professor Thorne groaned “you are supposed to scare them when I say not whenever you want”
She screamed and threw the toad across the room and Elias caught it, and for some reason it stopped vibrating in his hands.
Thorne thought it was because he had a white Luminor.
I thought it was because of his glare, the toad was shrinking back and eventually got bored and fell asleep.
Then another from the cage let out a massive panicked croak, Nyx had grabbed the biggest one’s leg by accident and it started vibrating violently. Her eyes went wide and she panicked Elias saw this and threw the sleeping toad at Seraphina’s face by accident and rushed to Nyx and took the toad and calmed it, then Seraphina screamed and smacked the toad repeatedly Kael ran over and flicked Seraphina’s head and grabbed the toad
“How dare you have the audacity to hurt Jeremiah!” He yelped, cradling the toad.
Juniper snorted “Jeremiah?” She drawled through giggles.
Kael’s head snapped back “find something funny about his name do you?”
