Astronomy room.
post storm; window open; wet.
cooling Earth soaked air.
Posted in response to the challenge Haiku.
A room lit by one lamp,
shoes next to a wireframe bed;
an artist's home where art and time have made their stamp.
A room lit by one lamp
where the cozy gloom clamps
One sentence, they wrote, and a hundred fingers set to keys and responded.
sewing soft stitches in unnerved unsteady lines
still new at old practices, still young as the thread winds
around a needle’s head, through the almost-fabric like
skin.

What a lovely haiku. Keep writing!
Yes! The power of haikus is to capture a moment in simplest terms, and this is a perfect example of a poet capturing a scene simply and perfectly.
