For My Mother

Like the flowers you tend to and are so sensitive towards,
You are thriving in beauty.
Honey hair and a deep cut smile, raw and stunning.
Like wonders you create,
I admire you.
Hardworking and laughing off unflattering poetry, creative and calm.
Like the family you have sacrificed many things to form,
I love you.
Movie nights and dog walks, radiant family photos.
For my mother
Who has birthed, nursed and raised me,
I love you.
