Lights flash

Red white and blue

The colors of the country

That I used to love

Before 

They started

Tearing apart families

Shooting civilians

Chasing school kids 

Surrounding houses

We will protest

We will sneak a child out of a house

Surrounded by I.C.E

And when they take 3 people 

They didn’t even have warrants for

Shoving us down

Shoulders and elbows

And limbs

We make a chain on the street

 Connected by hands and

Community

They threaten 

Tearing apart our hands

Like they try to tear apart this country

Choking us out

Ripping us apart

Then they drive off

And masks cover their faces

Not ours

Tear gas explodes in the night

Rubber bullets

Hit our backs

Flash bangs

Erupt

We run in mobs

This is not right

My country is falling

The ones we were taught to trust

Now our enemies

We stand

Our fists in the air

My town not allow this

My community not turn away 

We will fight for 

Our America..
