Poetry Practice: Night to Dawn

In the still of night,

Shadows dance and play.

Soft moonlight fades,

As stars begin to sway.

Silent whispers of

Darkness start to fade;

As first light of dawn

Begins to cascade.

Misty tendrils of

Dawn embrace the sky;

Painting colors of hope

As night says goodbye.

Birds chirp their sweet songs,

Now greeting the morn,

As the world awakens,

A new day is born.

Golden hues of sun

Smothering the Earth,

Bringing warmth and life,

A sense of rebirth.
