The Side Affects of Reading

Please read all side affects before sticking your nose in books.

A sense of curiosity,
A strong beguiled urge
To ride in hat and cape and wand on broomsticks, will emerge.
You'll start to see head canons
fandoms love to speak.
Most get many large ideas from reading before sleep.
All the thoughts from pages in,
The love, the lust the sorrow,
The reader feels this deeply
And tears will often follow!
Mind the time warp that occurs
Dimensions start to bend
You'll go to other universes
By one chapters end.
The words you will acquire
and the frustration that you'll feel
Will come in time and time again,
And this will never heel.
You'll start to see more beauty in the world and on the page,
Images will float before you, not just ink and names.
Cities, canyons, thoughts and wonders
All are in your grasp.
You'll often sit for hours and soak in all it has.
Day dreams often will occur,
so often it is found!
And clammy hands and tense positions also seem to hound
The dedicated reader with the paper tightly clenched,
For readers find such plot twists that sometimes they'll shout and vent!
Reading in a moving car, a toilet, a train, a tree,
Are normal, natural places to be reading- guaranteed.
Other side affects include:
Inspiration, open minds,
Hatred, humbled, hotty-ness
respect and memorized lines.
knowledge of so many cultures,
histories of nations.
Confidence, heroes, enemies,
Goals and aspirations,
readers often grow as people,
the words will stick around,
the lessons all remembered
The stories all heart bound.
Images in brightest gold and feelings pure as light
Will come from reading any book-
And really, that's alright.

  • A Space Among The Stars

To live in a space among the stars
    I'd have to get binoculars
To see the dentist on the moon
And find the next Uber at noon.
To live in a space among the stars
I'd have to float to school in cars.
  • Frost

    Its fingers were hot
    and cold and
    sweet and dark.
    All at the same time.

    Sleeeeep.

    It whispered in her ear.
    Her petals shivered.
    Its breath ran slowly
    down
    her stem and
    tickled a leaf.
