A Sonnets Sonnet

I now must write a sonnet but I can’t.
It seems my mind is dim with things to say.
I’d like to plagiarize, alas I shan’t!
I’ll suffer through the darkness all the way.

Oh thoughts! Do come and grant me with your light.
So in the darkness I can finally see.
And paint illusions worthy of delight
With colors wise and fair in imagery.

Then produce a tale that does inspire.
With swirls of red and gold woven as one.
But more importantly is the desire
To shed the sonnets woes and face the sun.
In Shakespeare’s name I’d like to get an A
But woe is me! I have nothing to say!

  • A Space Among The Stars

To live in a space among the stars
    I'd have to get binoculars
To see the dentist on the moon
And find the next Uber at noon.
To live in a space among the stars
I'd have to float to school in cars.
  • Frost

    Its fingers were hot
    and cold and
    sweet and dark.
    All at the same time.

    Sleeeeep.

    It whispered in her ear.
    Her petals shivered.
    Its breath ran slowly
    down
    her stem and
    tickled a leaf.
