Let me tell you a story in the form of a dream
It is as horrible as it seems
Through their eyes we are seen as spies
Even though we told no lies
We didn’t want to lose our way
So all we could do was obey
We didn’t understand
Apparently this isn’t “our land”
Worn-out wishes
We are tired
The thought of getting out
Seems so far away
What peace can a place like this impart?
With towers and fences with the jaws of a shark
Foolishly-simply existing
Swirling sand stifling our breath
Through storm and thunder we will remain
Someday we'll be ok, someday
When we stand on equal plane
When at last all is still
Our souls will fly glorious and free
Let me tell you a story in the form of a dream
It is as horrible as it seems
Through their eyes we are seen as spies
Even though we told no lies
We didn’t want to lose our way
So all we could do was obey
We didn’t understand
Apparently this isn’t “our land”
Worn-out wishes
We are tired
The thought of getting out
Seems so far away
What peace can a place like this impart?
With towers and fences with the jaws of a shark
Foolishly-simply existing
Swirling sand stifling our breath
Through storm and thunder we will remain
Someday we'll be ok, someday
When we stand on equal plane
When at last all is still
Our souls will fly glorious and free
