Stuck To Leap

I used to want to leap real high. And gather air and speed and fly.
I was excited to start this journey, until you came- and made me worry.
You tell me I must make the leap
then hold me tightly by the sleeve
and say for errors I'll make many
           Making me feel far ready.
You tell me I am growing up
and leaping far is but a jump
But when I try to jump you call
I'll fail the jump and then I'll fall.
You tell me leaping is my fate
for it is good to leave a place
And yet you grab me by the hair
And say that I'm not well prepared.
You tell me leaping is devine
and so I crouch, but every time
you grab my ankles when you say
I'll probobally not survive the way.
You tell me this so i'm prepared.
and for the jump I won't be scared.
But now with beating heart I stop-
I doubt the leap I used to want.

  • A Space Among The Stars

To live in a space among the stars
    I'd have to get binoculars
To see the dentist on the moon
And find the next Uber at noon.
To live in a space among the stars
I'd have to float to school in cars.
  • Frost

    Its fingers were hot
    and cold and
    sweet and dark.
    All at the same time.

    Sleeeeep.

    It whispered in her ear.
    Her petals shivered.
    Its breath ran slowly
    down
    her stem and
    tickled a leaf.
