Time

They told me that time would heal the wounds,

But they couldn’t have been more wrong.

No matter how many years pass,

Time does not heal.

Time buries baggage until you forget,

Yet the pain persists to exist.

You must pick up the fragments

Of your broken past.

Piece by piece,

You must learn to love yourself.

I promise,

No matter how many years pass,

There will always be time to heal.

  • Clinging To Sunshine

I’ve kept every card I’ve ever received

For as long as I can remember

People fade in and out of your life

Eventually lost in the past, forgotten

I read their letters after sunset

  • Scars

I still hear their words in my head

    Constantly reminding me

    Of his brutal honesty

“If you wanna starve yourself, go ahead,”

“All my friends say you’re too ugly for me.”
