Unseen Flames

This place held nightmares. Its beauty was extraordinary. Something straight out of a movie. The water was jet black, so that when the sun was setting you could see its orange hues reflecting on the water. You couldn't see if it was too deep or shallow. Some people would dive in the water thinking it was shallow, and they got hurt. You never knew what's lurking under those waters.

Still, I don't know why I kept visiting. The place was quiet. No, it was silent. It sent shivers down my spine. Yet I kept visiting. It was a treacherous journey. But I survived. And kept on surviving. Because I'm a survivor. Now I was officially stuck, and hurt, I had nowhere to go. No one to turn to. I only had the beautiful view in front of me. Nature is nature, most are beautiful but deadly. Most places are better left undiscovered so don't try to explore or find them.

I chuckled bitterly as I remembered those words. If my brother was the one who shone brightly in our family, then I was the one with a never-ending fire, I’ll just keep burning…

  • Fragments of Her

It was playtime, then pressure.  All gone in a blink of an eye. The girl’s smile weaved stories, soft as a flowing stream. She screamed in pure delight as her uncle threw her into the sky.
