Voice

Every time 

I try to speak

My voice is trapped

Stuck between reality

And imagination

Between my mind 

And my throat 

Stuck in a loop

Unable to reach beyond

Without 

That booming voice

Pulling me

Dragging me

Deeper and Deeper

Down
 

She knows 

Something is wrong

Sees through my eyes

She doesn’t know

The words

Clear in my head 

Over and over

Again

She doesn't hear them

Repeating

Pounding 

Beating

Harder each time

So

She walks away
 

Untill

A small whisper 

Leaves my mouth

Let out into the world

For everyone to hear

Unstuck

From my lips

Let free

They fly and soar

Only to wake up

To a cold breeze

It was just a dream

As it always will be

Stuck in my head

Unable to leave 

Information to be stored 

I cannot speak

So

Everyone will leave
