We try to stay quiet
despite the class being
nearly empty,
silent.
Muffle our laughter,
lower our heads,
cover our mouths,
attempting to
suppress our stalling.
Difficult
when your best friend
is next to you,
showing you the
funniest, stupidly
entertaining songs
that you never
thought you'd hear.
But you're not surprised
either.
You expect this kind
of crap,
and it makes you
smile.
Because after all,
she is your
best friend.

Hope is often used as a term to wish for something.
But hope is broad.
Vague.
Some people hope to win a sports game.
Or did I just wanna be different?
Like an outcast just wishing,
somebody might notice what's wrong with me.
