The clouds roll in
the last rays
of sunlight
try to fight
but it is impossible
I quicken my pace
rain pours down
from the harsh sky
if the wind
was to my back
I would have an easier time
I hide in my shoulders
using them as a shell
against the unforgiving wind
it screams its words
of hate and anger
into my ears
lights flicker
and the town is thrown
into a dark oblivian
of the howling wind
and pounding rain
the blasting wind
pushes the rain
into my eyes
I walk aimlessly
the water sloshing
against the curb
I reach home
the wind tries to come in
but I slam the door
in its unworthy face
wind can be welcomed
with open arms
but now it can
be shoved away
the last rays
of sunlight
try to fight
but it is impossible
I quicken my pace
rain pours down
from the harsh sky
if the wind
was to my back
I would have an easier time
I hide in my shoulders
using them as a shell
against the unforgiving wind
it screams its words
of hate and anger
into my ears
lights flicker
and the town is thrown
into a dark oblivian
of the howling wind
and pounding rain
the blasting wind
pushes the rain
into my eyes
I walk aimlessly
the water sloshing
against the curb
I reach home
the wind tries to come in
but I slam the door
in its unworthy face
wind can be welcomed
with open arms
but now it can
be shoved away
