Silhouettes of evergreen trees, 
I desire the lakeside wind
Instead of a delicate breeze
To run through my hair, unpinned.

I stare hungrily, eyes feast
On the lamplight mirrored.
Inky waters rolling east,
Cushion all that was feared.
