I’ve never caught a firefly
I guess I’ve never tried,
I wouldn’t want to trap their life
To keep them bottled up inside
But maybe I should get a jar
in the cemetery
blood moon shining bright
something stirs
a creature of darkness
awaiting its freedom
soon come its priestesses
bringing with them candles, incense,
and knives.
