I Listen To Music On The Bus

I listen to music

On the bus

With my teal earbuds.

The songs

Do not drown out the noise

That bothers me so much

They simply dull it

So I do not care.

I can hear you yelling

But I do not mind.

I can hear you swearing

But I do not mind.

I can hear you teasing

But I do not mind.

I do not know

If it is good

That I can tune out the world

And go to my own

So easily.

Should I learn

To appreciate

The busy chatter

That is made up

Of constant swearing

And unbearable nonsense?

I do not know

But right now

I listen to music

On the bus.

Raincoat like the petals of a sunflower hangs to her knees

    Glittery rainbow headband

That only keeps half her hair back

    Shiny pink nails

    Strawberry boots

Shy smile that makes you feel lucky you got to see it

blond curls the way they are before

you grow up the everywhere I don't care

it looks like my hair was woven from sunlight
