Change

What can I do to make this stay?
To make all the moments,
Where we were infinite last forever.

To keep the good days for the future,
And carry the bad along with my past.
How can I let life change,
But not let go.

What do I do with my life,
When my eyes begin to grow tired.
As my mind slows,
Where can I rest far from the shadows?
But still, be true to my soul.

If I saw a shooting star,
How would it change my day?
And as fall ends,
Will any of this truly stay?

  • What is left

[This is a reposted edited version of a previous poem of mine.]

when all we have is spent–

    what will we have left?

    people once before us–

  • down the street

    i walked down the street
the streets i once used to know
filled with regrets and heavy with burdens
    of what once happened here

    i walked down the street
    a block or so down

  • Dear god, am I real?

I believe in god even though I may know he doesn’t exist

I know the mountains were not formed by him

Instead it is the science in the world

The reason we are here in this moment
